Lodge 8 Carbis Bay Deluxe Beach Lodge is in a private and unique location with stunning sea views from each room, from the garden and luxury hot tub across the bay where the waves lap gently in the cove. The spectacular vista across the bay towards Godrevy lighthouse is an ideal place to spot seals and dolphins.

With two second-floor bedroom suites at entry, a feature staircase leads down to two further first-floor double bedrooms, all have ocean-facing balconies and bathrooms where roll-top baths offer views across the bay. The dramatic open-plan ground-floor living/dining space and kitchenette leads out through floor-to-ceiling glazed doors to the landscaped beach garden with hot tub – the perfect place to entertain, relax or unwind overlooking the golden sands.

From the deluxe beach lodge, you can request anything via an iPad, book your dinner, cruise on the hotel’s 50ft Sunseeker, or book spa treatments. If you have lots of luggage, the hotel porter will deliver it to you via golf buggy. As the lodges are set within the Carbis Bay Hotel estate, guests have full use of the hotel restaurants, bar and spa facilities.

C Bay Spa includes a peaceful relaxation room, couples’ treatment room, 20°C heated outdoor pool, adult-only hydrotherapy pool and outdoor sauna cabin.

LODGE ROOMS

Four large, individually designed bedroom suites, each sea view. Every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with huge mirrors and marble flooring, some with roll-top baths, others with large walk-in showers, and Aromatherapy Associates toiletries. King-sized beds are extremely comfortable – leave the balcony doors open if you’d like to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the crashing waves below.

The open-plan living space is a central hub with plenty of comfortable seating around the ethanol fire (for visual effect only – underfloor heating is super-efficient) and a dining table that easily seats eight. Kitchen shelves are well-stocked with Villeroy and Boch crockery, champagne flutes, cocktail and wine glasses, plus a Nespresso coffee machine. There’s no need for a kettle – boiling water comes out of the tap, and there’s a microwave but no oven – with room service or a private chef, why would you need one? Huge glass sliding doors open up onto the decking overlooking the beach – garden furniture, blankets and flip flops are all provided too. Lodges have their own private hot tub (fluffy white bathrobes hang in every wardrobe).

A well stocked kitchenette with Nespresso machine, microwave, fridge, Dualit toaster, cuttlery, glasses and plates is found on the ground floor. Private chefs can entertain you with an evening of private dining in the comfort of your Lodge adding a little theatre and food artistry to the occasion.

LOCATION

It’s a two-minute walk up to the train station that links St Erth to St Ives, alternatively it’s an easy two-mile walk along the coast path to the pretty harbour town of St Ives where you’ll find a fantastic array of restaurants and pubs. There is the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum are highlights. The nearest airport is at Newquay, 38 miles away.
