Sammyshute is a luxury Cornwall holiday home sleeping 8 located in a secluded plot just back from the coastal path with outstanding views across Gerrans Bay near Portscatho and St Mawes, South Cornwall. The large, south facing, sunroom has comfortable sofas and there are few better places to while away an afternoon with the yachts crossing the horizon and ships further out to sea.
The large garden provides plenty of space to let children play, with a spacious lawn and plenty of mature trees and shrubs. The house is private and secluded, with only a couple of neighbouring properties in this exclusive part of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, and a short walking distance to access the South West Coast Path.
Sammyshute is situated in Rosevine which is just a 5 minute drive from Portscatho or about 10 minutes to St Mawes. Just a short walk along the lane can be found the Michelin starred restaurant at Driftwood where you can sample the excellent cuisine of Chef Chris Eden. There is also The Rosevine with its relaxed bistro style food and wonderful views. The Rosevine also has a swimming pool which is ideal to keep the kids entertained on rainy days!
Just 300m from Sammyshute is Curgurrell Farm Shop – voted by in 2017 by The Daily Telegraph as best farm shop in the South West – selling fresh veg from the farm as well as home-made jams and chutneys. But the real draw is the fish, crab and lobster caught the same day just offshore. A little further the other way is the famous Hidden Hut beach cafe and Porthcurnick Beach. Sandy, safe and so friendly, this beach is a firm favourite for many who visit the Roseland.

Master bedroom with sea views, 5′ double bed and ensuite with walk in shower, separate bath, WC and hand basin. Also separate WC with wash hand basin off the entrance hall.
First Floor: Family shower room with WC and hand basin. Twin bedroom with 3′ beds, storage and sea views. Second twin bedroom with 3′ beds. Double bedroom with sea views, 5′ bed, storage and ensuite with walk in shower, WC and hand basin.
Exterior: A 1 acre lawned garden with mature trees and shrubs, flower beds, fenced pond and sea views. Patio off back door/sun-room, sea views, picnic table seats 8. Barbecue area off sun-room with sheltered planted patio and outdoor furniture to seat 8. Barbecue and some outdoor toys.
Heating is via oil fired central heating and radiators, and there is also an open fire in the living room. The kitchen has a range of modern equipment. There is an electric oven & hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The sitting area has a flatscreen, digital, Freeview TV & DVD player, CD & Radio. WiFi is available at the property. There is an iron and ironing board.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. Unfortunately dogs are not accepted at Sammyshute. There is parking available for up to 4 vehicles. A high chair is available upon request.
