Head to Trevaunance Cove, a 10-15 minute walk away for sandcastles and surfing.
Make the most of your coastal location and enjoy happy times in the waves with great teachers at Breakers Surf School. Or take to the open water on a kayak or paddle board – it’s a great way to explore the Cornish coast. The cove also has a lively pub, excellent Bistro and beach cafe. Chapel Porth Beach (owned by the National Trust and a World Heritage Site) is 1.6 miles.
Two other famous North Coast Beaches, Perranporth and Porthtowan are within a ten minute drive. A 5-8 minute potter takes you to picturesque St Agnes village which offers two small supermarkets, two greengrocers, two bakers, a butcher, (no candlestick maker!) a choice of pubs, delicious restaurants, a bistro, coffee bars, fish and chip shop and a highly regarded pizza takeaway.
Friendly St Agnes tennis club offers the options of pay and play or weekly membership. Today the village is well known for its thriving arts and crafts and there are a number of interesting small galleries and shops well worth a visit.
If you’re heading out and about, there’s a dizzying selection of paths and headlands to explore on the spectacular South West Coast Path.
