Mulvin Lodge, The Lizard (Sleeps 6)

All on one floor with just a few steps between levels, this beautiful and spacious conversion can accommodate up to 6 people plus an infant in super luxury just a mile from the golden sands of Poldhu Cove on Cornwall’s south western coast. In an incredible location, this magnificent conversion of a former barn offers guests a comfortable and very stylish retreat.

Mulvin Lodge is a beautifully presented stone barn, retaining many of its original features which, due to the thoughtful design by the owner and master craftsmen, blends seamlessly with contemporary additions. Set over one floor with just a few steps in between levels the living space offers amazing views west towards Poldhu Cove over the beautiful rolling valley. There are stunning french windows opening onto the patio enjoying incredible views towards Poldhu Cove. The private garden also has the benefit of a wonderful hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the views. The open plan living-room and kitchen with beamed ceilings will have a cosy wood burning stove. opening onto the private garden and hot tub. There are three bedrooms in total, all of which are incredibly spacious. The quality finish will continue in the open plan solid oak fitted kitchen which will have granite work surfaces and Neff appliances throughout.

Accommodation
Ground Floor only: The main entrance opens into the amazing living space with stunning views across the valley, rolling countryside and towards Poldu Cove and the sea to the west. French windows onto the patio mean you can enjoy these views at all times of year with the garden and hot tub. The sitting-area has comfortable sofas around the cosy wood-burning stove There is the gorgeous solid oak fitted kitchen at one end with granite work surfaces and Neff appliances. The dining table which seats six is an American Amish hand made oak table with ladder back oak chairs. To one side of the living space is the master bedroom which has a hand made American Amish super-king oak and inlaid bed (6’ 3”) with twin 3 ft Tempur Pedic mattresses. There is a large shower in the en-suite. The other side of the house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One very large bedroom has a zip and link bed (6’ or 2 singles) and large en suite bathroom with superb glass walk in shower. The other bedroom has a feature stone wall and a 5′ double bed. The bathroom has separate shower and full bath and is linked to the bedroom so can be either en-suite or the family bathroom.

Exterior: There is a grassed garden, enclosed via stock fences and wall so you would need to watch an escapee dog. There is plenty of space to relax, enjoy the hot tub and sit outside in fine weather. There is a BBQ but you will need to provide your own charcoal.

Facilities & Services
There is under floor heating throughout, but the property is so well insulated it is always warm, heated towel rails in the bathroom and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. The kitchen has an electric hob, electric oven, microwave with grill, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, washing machine/drier and dishwasher. In the sitting room there is a flat screen, large TV & DVD player. WiFi is available throughout the property. There is an iron and ironing board. A travel cot & highchair is available (please bring bedding for travel cot).

Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen (apart from cot bedding) & towels are all included but please provide your own beach towels and towels for the hot tub. Parking for 2 cars (more available on request). Up to 2 well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of £25 per dog / per week. Additional dogs may be permitted on application. Please bring towels for the dogs and do not allow them on the furniture or in the bedrooms at anytime. Regrettably no smoking is allowed.
