Poldark Cottage is a picture postcard luxury holiday cottage in Cornwall tucked away in a quiet lane, just off the harbour in the historic village of Charlestown. With private parking directly opposite and your very own, enclosed garden to the rear, make the most of this charming position and enjoy a quality break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Step into the living room and immediately feel at home in your surroundings, sink into the armchair with your favourite book or curl up with a loved one on the sofa in front of the woodburner – ideal for those chilly winter nights.

The bright, uplifting décor adds to the quality feel and the dining area tucked into the far corner makes a lovely spot for a tasty home prepared meal or a competitive board game. The kitchen is well-appointed with a large fridge/freezer and everything you need to assist your stay. The first floor plays host to three well furnished bedrooms, two offering zip-and-link beds for alternative sleeping arrangements. Choose from the family bathroom or the shower room for a lovey hot soak after an adventurous outing or a refreshing shower each morning.

The property

Situated in one of the finest locations in the unspoilt and historic working port and village of Charlestown, Poldark Cottage is hidden away along a quiet lane yet only a couple of minutes level walk from the world-famous harbour and beach.

With private parking directly opposite the cottage you enter into the hallway and immediately feel at home.

The living room is particularly comfy with a log burner for the cooler evenings adding to the atmosphere of this lovely cottage.

From here you can access the private garden at the rear with a patio and ample furniture to relax at any time of day.

On the first floor there are three beautifully furnished bedrooms, all with TV’s, with two being zip-and-link beds giving you the option of two singles or a king-size double in each.

There are two bathrooms here, one on each floor with a shower in each and a bath in the family bathroom.

To this day Charlestown retains much of its Georgian character and capitalises on its past by harbouring a fleet of square rigger ships transporting you into a bygone era. You will see why this unique combination of character and history so well preserved has led to Charlestown being such a popular location for filming, in particular, the TV series Poldark.

In fact you might well experience filming taking place when you stay here such is the proximity of the cottage to the heart of the harbour and village.

Of an evening as well as lunchtime you are well-catered for in terms of character pubs and excellent restaurants and cafes all within a few minutes’ walk.

Explore the historic village of Charlestown with its Georgian character and many amenities close by.

For those who enjoy golf, there are many well-established golf courses in the area, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are also well worth a visit.

Explore the South West Coast Path, hidden coves and sandy beaches.
